My name is Alison McCants and I have created this fundraiser for Maram. 100% of funds raised from this page will go directly to Maram and her family in Gaza. This is her story.

Hello my friend. I am Maram, a graduate student for the College of Education (specialising in psychological counselling) at Al Aqsa University. My family consists of nine members, each with their lives, goals and aspirations. We lived a happy life, full of achievements. I worked as a kindergarten teacher before the war. I didn’t get a big salary, but I’ve always worked and had a source of income. But the occupation came and destroyed the kindergarten where I worked, and destroyed my dreams and ambitions, and destroyed our beautiful house in Rafah. Now, my family and I live in a tent.

I will talk about my house a little. I used to live in a beautiful house. My family and I had stability and safety, and it was full of beautiful memories, happiness, and reassurance. But this house was demolished because of the occupation, and I no longer have a home.

Here I will introduce my family.

My father worked as a farmer and had an agricultural greenhouse project and was seeking to work and provide our own source of income for the family expenses and to continue our lives, but also the occupation deprived us of everything and destroyed my father’s project. He lost his source of income and lost our house, which brought us all together, and we had nothing left: no home, no source of income, or anything to continue our lives.

My mother suffers from chronic stress disease, chronic migraines, cartilage issues, and needs constant treatment for the ability to complete her day. She can’t do anything without taking pressure medication and migraine medicine, which is no longer available – and if there is, it is a very high price. We need your help to provide the medicines she needs as soon as possible, because without it she cannot do anything and suffers from constant pain.

My brother Hazem has always suffered from pain in the stomach, joints and pelvic area, and he traveled several times before the war for treatment to help him relieve the pain and get rid of disease. He cannot complete his day without treatment. He can only eat some special foods that do not affect his stomach, but in the war there is no food he needs, no vegetables or fruits, and if they are, they are very expensive. Now he eats canned foot that harms him. We cannot provide the food he needs, or his medicine, which is expensive. Please help him to access his medicine and provide some foods such as vegetables, fruits and healthy foods so that he can complete his life.

My brother Saher finished his university studies in community service. He was looking for work but couldn’t find any because of the high unemployment in Gaza. So he helped my father in his work to get money to build his life and get married, but the occupation destroyed everything and he didn’t get anything and didn’t get married.

My twin sisters, Refaa and Wafaa. Refaa graduated from the Faculty of Education at the University of Palestine and was striving to find a job that suits her, achieve her goals and continue her life, but the occupation destroyed her ambitions and goals, and she was unable to complete her joy in pursuit of her dreams. Wafaa, my other twin sister, graduated from the Faculty of Public Relations at Palestine University, and her dreams and goals were shattered also.

My sister Weaam, who graduated form high school and enrolled in Al-Asqa University in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, in the field of laboratory medicine, but she was unable to complete her education because the occupation destroyed and demolished her university. She is now trying to complete her education electronically, but she needs your help to pay the university fees. University, ending her studies, celebrating her graduation, and fulfilling all the dreams and ambitions she seeks. Please help her to complete her studies.

My little brother, Muhammad, was studying at school. The occupation destroyed his school and he could not complete his education. He needs your help to complete his studies so that he can graduate from school and seek his ambitions and goals.

Each of us has our own suffering in this life. We need your help to complete our lives. There is also the constant suffering that my brothers suffer from raising water and the need to provide sweet and salty water and flour. My sisters suffer kneading bread, for the ability to eat and a lot of daily suffering that we always suffer from. Pelase help us to overcome these difficultues, try to make up for what we lost, rebuild our home, that brings us together, and the ability to provide winter clothes and covers to prevent this cold. We need food and water that we must buy so that we can carry out our daily trasks. Please, we need your donations and assistance. Do not hesitate to help us. We need you after God, and thank God always and forever.
